The Story of CSPT
In the fall of 2013, Mike Darmiento and Frederic Liegl founded Chicago Students' Proprietary Trading. CSPT differentiates itself from other student finance groups by requiring a capital commitment, which drives members' incentives, creates a professional environment, and – most importantly – gives the fund liquidity to enter real, not virtual, positions.
CSPT is a tight-knit and productive community that focuses on high quality pitches across different styles of equity and fixed-income investing. The broad scope of strategies that we employ to generate high risk-adjusted returns reflects the diversity of ideas and philosophies brought into CSPT by its members.
